Low (Long..long battery) power chip for mobiles

A faculty member of GITAM University developed a low power VLSI chip which extends the life of mobile phone battery at a lower cost.

An assistant professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of GITAM University I. Sreenivasa Rao who developed the chip, said that power consumption in the VLSI circuits could be reduced and the charging capacity of the mobile battery could be extended up to 13 hours. It will also increase the number of applications in smart phones.

Dr. Sreenivasa Rao received the best research paper award in IEEE International conference held at Chennai.
