Dressed in traditional Indian attires, a large group of ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) devotees from 26 countries sang and danced to the chant of ‘Hare Rama, Hare Krishna’ as part of ‘Harinam Keertan’ procession on Tuesday.

The procession started from CMR Shopping Mall and traversed through the Jagadamba Junction before culminating near Police Commissionerate.

The procession, organised as part of the ‘Marvellous March @ISKCON’ month-long festivities, was a cynosure of all eyes in the city. Sporting the traditional Hare Krishna ‘tilak’ on their foreheads, the devotees spread the spiritual fervour as they danced in ecstasy and dedicated their prayers towards pleasing Lord Krishna.

More than 140 foreigners from across the world participated in the procession. Later, cultural programmes were held on the ISKCON premises at Sagar Nagar.

On Thursday, the ISKCON ‘Rathayatra’ will commence from NCS Theatre at Vizianagaram.
