Indian Social Science Congress from March 29
Andhra University and the Indian Academy of Social Science (ISSA) are organising the 38TH session of the Indian Social Science Congress here from March 29 to April 2 with the focal theme — Knowledge systems, scientific temper, and Indian people.
The congress would explore the status of knowledge of nature-humans-society produced in our universities and research institutes and relevance of the same to the democratic needs and aspirations of people of India, AU V-C and chairman of the congress G.S.N. Raju said at a press conference here on Tuesday.
As many as 19 research committees and 21 inter-disciplinary thematic panels representing 32 disciplines of science have been constituted to discuss the various aspects of knowledge systems.
