Bhadrachalam, the abode of Lord Sitaramachandra Swamy, is all decked up to host the Sri Sita Rama Tiru Kalyana Mahotsavam on Tuesday.

The historical shrine in the temple town has been decorated with colourful lights and flowers in connection with Sri Rama Navami festival.

Elegant arches depicting Lord Rama and his consort Sita have been erected at the Bridge Centre and other main localities in the town.

Hordes of devotees have begun arriving right from Monday afternoon to participate in the Sri Rama Navami festivities on Tuesday.

Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and his wife Vimala Narasimhan will attend the ‘wedding’ of Lord Rama with Sita Devi, scheduled to be held at Mithila Stadium from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Special rituals

Meanwhile, Edurkolu Utsavam and Garuda Seva, among other special rituals, were organised in the temple complex on Monday.

Higher official of various government departments camped in the temple town to oversee arrangements for the grand event.
