The TTD-run Sri Kalyana Venkateswara temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram is getting ready for ‘Pushpa Yagam’ slated for March 26. The ‘Ankurarpanam’ will be held on March 25.
Conducted on Sravana star (the birth star of Lord Venkateswara), the event is meant to propitiate the Lord in saving mankind from natural calamities. ‘Veda Sathumurai’ and ‘Santhi Mantra’ will be performed to seek tranquillity in the world, while ‘Snapana Tirumanjanam’ (celestial bath) will be performed to the professional deities in the ‘Yagasala’ premises earlier in the day.
Grihasthas (married couples) can take part in the Seva by paying Rs.516.
