As part of corporate social responsibility, Gangavaram Port Limited on Thursday launched sewing training for third batch of women.
The programme was inaugurated by GPL senior vice-president K. Raja Ratnam Naidu (security) and assistant vice-president (liaison) L.P.S. Ramu Naidu. The 45-day course will include training in basic concepts of stitching and clothing designs for 50 women selected from Gangavaram village.
On completion of the course, certificates will be given to help them get jobs locally or in apparel parks.
