The nine-day annual brahmotsavams at Sri Kodandarama swamy temple in Tirupati is scheduled to commence from March 28 with Ankur Arpanam the previous day.
The important events during the festival include Dwajarohanam on March 28, Garuda seva (April 01), Rathotsavam (April 4) and Chakrasnanam on April 5.
No arijitha sevas
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) which administers the temple has dispensed with the conduct of all kinds of arjitha seva s on all the days of the festival.
Besides this, it has also annulled the conduct of the monthly Punarvasu Kalyanotsvam on April 8.
The management also has planned to organise in a big way cultural and musical programmes every day during the festival period.
Dharma prachara parishad, Annamacharya and the Dasa Sahitya projects will collectively conduct the programmes.
