Love is an all encompassing emotion and the best example of love is the one a mother has for her child, artist Thatikonda Sreenivasu said speaking about his exhibition of paintings – Shades of Love – that was inaugurated here on Thursday.

The four-day exhibition organised by Andhra University School of Ancient Arts was inaugurated by Andhra University Vice-Chancellor G. S. N. Raju at the Visakha Museum of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation here.

Paintings depict the inner thoughts of the painter on the aspect of love and affection, Prof. Raju said. Parents should encourage their children to explore their talent and allow them to blossom, he added, urging parents not to limit their children to studies. He gave away prizes to winners of a painting competition held earlier for schoolchildren.
