The term ‘holiday’ brings a smile on our faces. However, the excitement quotient is a little high for children.
Keeping this in mind, Make a Difference (MAD) organisation is hosting a two-day event, ‘Dream Camps’ at Sai Priya Resorts from Friday. The platform came as a respite for those staying in shelter homes to relax and unwind.
A number of children from PAPA Home and Abode of Peace made their way to the resorts to participate in interactive residential programme. The camp focused on training children in various soft skill development sessions such as personality development, career counselling, and survival skills, apart from a series of motivational talks. Workshops on various career opportunities and advantages of setting up small-scale units were also on the agenda. The venue offered a thrilling experience for the children to participate in treasure hunt and interact with trainers and friends.
One of the volunteers, Vijai Kanth, said: “It’s an opportunity for us to spend time with the little ones and understand their emotional needs. Holidays such as these will bring respite to their otherwise mundane life and deepen our bond.”
