On the eve of Rathasapatami, hundreds of devotees thronged Arasavalli Sri suryanarayana Swamy temple from Wednesday night to have early morning darshan of the Sun god . Ksheerabhiskham will be performed from 12.05 am to 6am. Ksheerabhisekham tickets costing Rs.216 will be sold in the queue line this year. Tickets costing Rs.100 will also be sold.
The new system is expected to stop taking colour photostat copies of tickets, according to Revenue Divisional Officer G.Ganesh.
Srikakulam Collector Saurabh Gaur also stopped sale of Rs.20 tickets to avoid more queue lines at the temple. Donors who are given special passes have to come for darshan after 2 pm. Several government and non-governmental organisations decided to distribute biscuits and water packets among devotees.
Srikakulam Junior Chamber International President Korada Ramesh, Vasavi Club representatives Perla Mahesh, Mandavilli Ravi and others said several volunteers would engage in service activities. APSRTC is operating around 100 buses from Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and other places.
