Baliwada Santosh Kumar (24) of Akkayyapalem, a poor student pursuing his degree privately, has been diagnosed with a clot in his brain. He loses consciousness all of a sudden and falls down. His father Eswara Rao, a private employee, is unable to make both ends meet with his limited income.
On November 23, 2013, a private hospital diagnosed it as a clot in Santosh’s brain and referred him to KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad, which specialises in the treatment of such cases. The surgery for removal of the tumour was fixed for February 17.
Any delay in the conduct of the surgery could endanger his life. The family has spent over Rs.1 lakh so far, and is not in a position to bear Rs.4 lakh for the surgery. Santosh’s parents have appealed to philanthropists and donors to give their son a new lease of life.
