Many have seen it, tried it, got bored and left it. Yes, I am talking about the Rubik’s Cube, which has received the German Game of the Year award. A cube having 54 parted squares upon six faces and six colours is also referred as the magic cube. Many people have one in their homes. It finds its way mostly in a corner of the house, having been giving least importance.
Actually, Rubik’s Cube was invented by Hungarian national Ernõ Rubik, a sculptor and professor of architecture. The current world record for single time on a 3×3×3 Rubik’s Cube was set by Mats Walk of the Netherlands in March 2013 in 5.55 seconds at the Zonhoven Open in Belgium.
The problem, most of us feel, is that once it is shuffled, it may take a year to find its colours back to their position. But what if I say that it can be solved? Yes, absolutely! And once you learn it, y it will be child’s play.
The best method, used by 99.9 percent of the people, is the layer-by-layer method. There are many websites which teach you to learn and practise solving the Rubik’s cube.
